One World Sports Elevates Feld, Sanford

One World Sports has promoted a pair executives on its senior management team.

The global sports service has elevated Joel Feld to executive vice president, programming and production, and appointed Beth Sanford senior vice president of marketing,

Feld joined One World Sports after a 35-year career in sports media, most recently as executive vice president of programming and executive producer for the regional sports network home of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins, New England Sports Network.  Prior to NESN, Feld, a 13-time Emmy winner, was executive vice president and executive producer for College Sports Television Networks, now ESPN Classic. Feld's career has also included  a turn as president of SFX Clear Channel Entertainment Television, and 16 years at ABC Sports.

“Joel has taken on everything I have thrown at him and executed at a level of excellence that is exceptional,” said One World Sports CEO Alexander 'Sandy' Brown. “From helping develop our Stamford broadcast facility, to creating a first-class New York Cosmos broadcast team, to helping secure multiple global sports rights and renewals, there are not many touch points in this company where Joel has not been involved.”

Sanford joined One World Sports as vice president of marketing in January 2013.  Previously, she served as a partner in Hyphen3, a strategic-marketing consultancy firm that she co-founded in 2006, with a focus on expanding audiences for entertainment and Internet businesses. Over the course of her professional life, she was vice president of marketing at Rainbow Media (now AMC Networks), where she helped launched VOD service Mag Rack, and held various executive positions at Lifetime Television, Time Warner Direct Entertainment, Life and Time magazines, and HBO.

“Beth has spearheaded the development of our brand -- from positioning to creative to execution, on-air, off-air, online and on-ground,” Brown noted.  “She has overseen all of our research efforts, our affiliate and trade marketing, and has helped build our social media efforts from scratch.  She lives and breathes One World Sports, which is enormously valuable for a network of our size.”

One World Sports, which counts Dish Network, Cablevision’s Optimum TV, Mediacom Communications, Hawaiian Telcom, Google Fiber and Verizon FiOS as affliates, delivers live and exclusive coverage of some of America’s most popular sports played outside the USA – basketball, baseball, golf and ice hockey – as well as those with large global followings, including soccer and cricket.
