GCI Broadens TV Everywhere Lineup

GCI, Alaska’s largest cable operator, has added BTN2GO, MTV, VH1, Fox and Spike to its TV Everywhere platform, GCI GO.

Additionally, GCI subs can use their credentials to view Fox broadcast programming online at both www.Fox.com and www.Hulu.com through Fox apps on GCI GO, the operator said, noting that the latest additions enable it to offer content from more than 50 networks to authenticated video subs.

“GCI GO allows customers to experience entertainment everywhere,” said GCI Senior Vice President and General Manager of Consumer Services Paul Landes. “Adding new channels to this service gives our customers more options to view their favorite content when and where they want, whether that’s on the big screen in their living rooms or with the convenience of a mobile device, said Paul Landes, GCI’s VP and GM of consumer services, in a statement.

GCI, which ended the first quarter with 66,900 digital video subs, recently added Netflix to its leased TiVo-powered video platform.
