FiOS Joins NFL Network's TV Everywhere Huddle

Verizon TV Customers Gain Online Access to Thursday Night Football, RedZone 12/13/2012 1:35 PM Eastern

Verizon Communications’ FiOS TV is the third distributor to ink a pact with NFL Network to provide access to live programming online -- including Thursday Night Football games and the Sunday RedZone channel -- along with Cox Communications and Cablevision Systems.

The “Watch NFL Network” service gives FiOS TV customers who receive NFL Network and NFL RedZone as part of their TV package the ability to view programming online from the two channels from anywhere in the U.S., over any broadband connection.

In the future, the NFL programming will be made available to FiOS TV customers on tablets as well, according to Verizon.

The live 24-hour NFL Network feed is available via Web browser through the service. In addition the Thursday night matchups, the network’s shows include “NFL Total Access,” “NFL GameDay” and the new morning show “NFL AM.” The NFL RedZone whip-around channel promises viewers “every touchdown for every game” for Sunday afternoon games during the regular season.

“We are thrilled to give FiOS TV customers anytime, anywhere access to NFL Network and NFL RedZone, as we continue to expand the FiOS offering and give our customers a truly borderless lifestyle,” Terry Denson, Verizon’s vice president of content strategy and acquisition, said in a statement.  FiOS TV customers can access “Watch NFL Network” via FiOS TV Online and at nfl.com/watchnflnetwork

NFL Network is included with the FiOS TV Extreme HD and Ultimate HD packages, while RedZone is included with the Ultimate HD package or as a standalone package for $54.99 per season.
