ICTV Inc. Monday announced a development and marketing-distribution agreement to deploy Amiga Inc.'s applications and content on its “HeadendWare” platform.

Under terms of the pact, the companies will deploy Amiga technologies that will allow network operators to run “AmigaAnywhere” application engines on HeadendWare. The combined technologies will enable an interactive triple play in which subscribers to HeadendWare-based services can interact with the same content across PCs, mobile devices and TV sets.

“Amiga has an established reputation for delivering phenomenal graphics and high-performance multimedia on PCs and mobile devices," ICTV senior director of product marketing Mark Jeffery said in a prepared statement.

“ICTV HeadendWare extends the reach by enabling these applications to run seamlessly across cable and IPTV [Internet-protocol-TV] networks globally, as television, giving our customers greater choice of content and multitier distribution models,” he added.
