BigBand Networks Inc.’s new “6.0” software release for its “Cuda” cable-modem-termination-system lineup will help operators to improve delivery of voice-over-Internet-protocol and IPTV services.
The software download includes support for hitless software upgrades that maintain service sessions through deployment modification, enhancement of integrated redundant elements with rapid failover time, integration with multimedia services and robust signal delivery upstream and downstream in multiple plant conditions.
BigBand said the software supports Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification 2.0 and PacketCable applications.
