AT&T U-verse Expands Hispanic Channels Offering

AT&T has expanded its list of Spanish-language networks, adding 19 new channels to its AT&T U-verse lineup. Among the new nets are Azteca America, Bandamax, CBTV Michoacán, TVE Internacional and Once México, among others. With the additiona U-verse now offers 56 Spanish-language channels.

AT&T offers two Hispanic packages: Paquete Español ($15 per month,) which includes up to 52 channels; and U200 Latino ($79 per month), featuring all the channels in Paquete Español plus up to 230 English-language channels.

A company spokesperson said U-verse is gearing up to launch two more bundles: U300 Latino ($99 per month) and U450 Latino ($132 per month); the latter features up to 410 channels, including everything in U300 plus Paquete Español

Along with the new networks, U-verse in August introduced the Paquete Español Multiview on channel 3001, allowing customers to choose and watch up to four channels on their TV screen at one time. Also available for Hispanic users is U-verse Mobile, an app that allows subscribers to manage their home recordings from their smartphones.

AT&T is also joining other providers in offering full in-language customer service and technical support.
