SeaChange To Tout Multiscreen Mix At CES

SeaChange International will hang its hat on the multiscreen video trend at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show, announcing it will demonstrate a range of home gateways and cloud DVR products that can stream video to a wide range of connected TV and mobile devices.

Among the demos will be Nucleus, a software platform that utilizes the Reference Design Kit (RDK), the pre-integrated stack for IP-capable set-tops and gateways that’s being managed by Comcast and Time Warner Cable, and its multiscreen-pointing Cloud Adrenalin service and an update of its Nitro user interface that includes network DVR capabilities.

At the gateway level, SeaChange said it will show off an RDK-optimized version of Nucleus running on the recently announced HMG7000 “headless” gateway from Netgear.

SeaChange will also use the show to springboard Cloud Adrenalin, a software-as-a-service backoffice platform for multiscreen TV delivery, analytics, monitoring and a new “promotional” component that can help service provider create tailored content packages that can be offered to IP-connected PCs and specialized streaming players.
