SCTE Sets Lineup For DOCSIS 3.1/Wireless Symposium

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers has announced the speaker lineup for the organization’s Wireless and DOCSIS 3.1 Pre-Conference Symposium to be held Monday, Sept. 22, in conjunction with SCTE Cable-Tec Expo at the Colorado Convention Center in  Denver.

SCTE said the full-day symposium, presented jointly with CableLabs, will address the current status of cable’s wireless activities, with a clear emphasis on WiFi, as well as DOCSIS 3.1, an emerging CableLabs spec that is targeting capacities of up to 10 Gbps downstream and at least 1 Gbps in the upstream.

Scheduled from 9:00 AM until 4:30 p.m. M at Denver’s Colorado Convention Center, the symposium is a joint presentation of SCTE and CableLabs.  The Symposium, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mountain Time, will feature four sessions each on wireless and DOCSIS 3.1.
