Netrake Wants to ‘nCite’ VoIP

8/03/2004 4:58 AM Eastern

Netrake commercially launched its “nCite” voice-over-Internet-protocol session controller Tuesday.

The nCite -- which now supports Cable Television Laboratories Inc.’s PacketCable 1.2 Call Management Server Signaling specification -- enables cable operators to securely interconnect with other operators and IP carriers to provide VoIP and other Session Initiation Protocol-based multimedia-service offerings.

Netrake said it expects its first MSO customer announcement within a few months.
