Motorola Inc. announced that Singapore telecommunications provider StarHub will use its hardware and software to deploy 100-megabit-per-second speeds for its high-speed-data service using Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification 3.0 technology.
StarHub plans to “bond” four 6-megahertz channels together to provide new throughput speeds of 100 mbps to subscribers.
The company counts 277,000 high-speed subscribers. StarHub will deploy new cable modems capable of handling the DOCSIS 3.0 speeds.
