Incognito Taps Koat As CTO

Incognito Software, a Vancouver-based supplier of broadband device provisioning, service activation, bandwidth monitoring, and IP address management, has hired Peter Koat as chief technology officer.

Koat, who co-founded multiscreen video platform provider Skitter.TV as well as video streaming vendor Libré Communications, is now in charge of Incognito’s product line and the development of product roadmaps. Koat is also late of Even Technologies, a Vancouver-based hardware transcoding supplier, and Infinite Video, an IPTV solution provider. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of British Columbia.

“Pete brings a tremendous amount of industry knowledge to our executive team, which will be extremely valuable as we continue to expand our product portfolio with service providers worldwide,” said Stephane Bourque, president and CEO of Incognito Software. “The broadband industry is constantly changing, and having such a dynamic leader on board with extensive knowledge of key industry trends like OTT video will allow us to develop even more solutions to assist our customers and partners in this increasingly competitive marketplace,” said Incognito CEO Stephane Bourque, in a statement.

Koat fills a gap that’s been present since the summer of 2012, when former Incognito CTO Chris Busch left to join Arris.
