Fidelity Taps nCUBE, Meriton

6/01/2004 5:47 AM Eastern

Fidelity Communications Co., a small Missouri telecommunications-holding company, has tapped nCUBE Corp. and Meriton Networks Inc. for digital ad-insertion, video-on-demand and dense-wave-division-multiplexing gear.

Fidelity operates cable systems in Rolla and Sullivan, both in Missouri. Sister companies also provide telephone and utility services.

nCUBE is supplying its “n4x” on-demand server and back-office-management software for a planned July VOD launch. nCUBE said its digital-advertising system will support local insertion in both digital and analog cable networks.

Meriton added DWDM capacity to Fidelity's synchronous-optical-network rings to allow for the increased traffic from VOD.
