Cable Show: TWC: WiFi's On Us

Cable Show attendees should be in WiFi hotspot heaven, courtesy of Time Warner Cable.

The MSO said that Southern California visitors will have unlimited access to more than 14,000 WiFi hotspots, free of charge. Time Warner Cable, in conjunction with Time Warner Cable Business Class, is opening up access to the hotspots to Cable Show visitors and non-customers from April 26 through May 4. Time Warner Cable recently installed free TWC WiFi at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and added new hotspots in the Coachella Valley.

NCTA members and their guests attending the Cable Show, as well as non-Time Warner Cable customers, will be able to access the TWC WiFi hotspots during the aforementioned span by selecting the TWC WiFi network; opening their browser; and then accepting the terms of service and connecting.

The hotspots can be located via the free Time Warner Cable WiFi Finder app available through the Google Play or iTunes app stores, or through the WiFi coverage map at twc.com/wificoverage. TWC WiFi hotspots can be found in popular areas of Southern California, including:

       *  Hollywood

  • Downtown LA
  • Beverly Hills
  • Santa Monica
  • Inglewood
  • Venice Beach
  • Manhattan Beach
  • Orange County

Currently, All Business Services Internet customers and Time Warner Cable high-speed customers with standard Internet or above currently have free access to Time Warner Cable’s network of more than 14,000 TWC WiFi hotspots in SoCal and more than 200,000 TWC WiFi and Cable WiFi hotspots in cities across the U.S.
