BigBand Networks appointed Jeff Lindholm, previously Juniper Networks’ chief marketing executive, as senior vice president of worldwide field operations, the video and data-networking gear maker announced Wednesday.
Lindholm will oversee BigBand's worldwide sales and customer-service efforts. He will report to CEO Amir Bassan-Eskenazi.
"Jeff Lindholm has spent the past 20 years scaling sales and field-operations organizations to support some of the largest communications-service providers in the world," Bassan-Eskenazi said in a prepared statement. "Jeff is ideally suited to scale BigBand's sales and customer-service organizations to support the company's growth into new markets, and we're thrilled to bring him on board."
Previously, Lindholm was chief marketing officer at Juniper and, prior to that, was the company’s VP of worldwide sales. He joined Juniper in 2002 from Unisphere Networks, where he was head of sales and support. Lindholm has also worked at Motorola, Bay Networks (since acquired by Nortel) and New Oak Communications (also now part of Nortel).
