Alopa Launches ‘Core,’ Updates ‘MetaSure’

4/28/2004 7:21 AM Eastern

Alopa Networks Inc. announced two new products Wednesday.

The operations-support-systems-software vendor launched its “Intelligent Activation Core (i-A Core),” which it described as “a lightweight, client-side application designed to ensure speed, accuracy and simplicity of broadband-service provisioning.”

Alopa said i-A Core gives broadband-service providers a turnkey tool that enables both subscribers and field technicians to easily install and launch high-speed services, reducing the truck rolls commonly associated with launching new consumer services.

The vendor added that i-A Core provides end-user troubleshooting tips, installation tutorials and system upgrades.

Alopa also launched the second generation of its “MetaSure” assurance and management platform.

MetaSure automates and speeds the process of gathering critical network-based intelligence. It also enables broadband-service providers of any size to secure consistent view and management-level control of subscribers and devices through assurance applications such as device-firmware management, inventory management, remote-device control, event correlation and network- and device-fault management.
