CableNET will mark its 15th anniversary at The 2007 Cable Show, formerly known as the National Show, May 7-9 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The National Cable & Telecommunications Association said the upcoming CableNET, sponsored jointly with Cable Television Laboratories, “will emphasize next-generation broadband content and applications with technology as an enabling tool; demonstrate innovations in products and services including advanced [voice over Internet protocol] and highlight the benefits of the industry's cutting-edge broadband services.”

Information on participating in CableNET is available on the event’s Web site. A request for proposals will be issued Dec. 15, the NCTA and CableLabs said.

"CableNET continues to serve as a one-stop touch point for those people interested in seeing where the broadband world is headed,” CableLabs CEO Richard R. Green said in a prepared statement. “CableNETs of the past became the first public display in which cable modems, cable VoIP and advanced interactive services were featured.”

NCTA CEO Kyle McSlarrow added, "CableNET is always one of the premier destinations for visitors walking the exhibit floor at The Cable Showbecause it provides our industry the opportunity to showcase the exciting services that make cable a technology leader.”
