‘AT&T-MOBILE’ WATCH4/04/2011 12:01 AM Eastern
WASHINGTON — There
was lots of action
last week on the
proposed merger of
AT&T and T-Mobile.
New York state Attorney General Eric
Schneiderman’s office said it would be
vetting the proposal. Another group —
the Benton Foundation — came out
against the merger.
American Community Television called
for public, education and government channel
(PEG) commitments on AT&T’s U-Verse
TV service, pointing to a 2008 video showing
it was difficult to access PEG channels.
AT&T countered with its own video showing
how easy it was.
The request for merger approval is expected
to be filed at the FCC in mid-April.
