Ray Fitzgerald Joins SeaChange

Video software specialist SeaChange International has tapped industry vet Ray Fitzgerald as senior vice president of sales – Americas.

Fitzgerald, who reports to Seachange CEO Raghu Rau, last served as SVP of worldwide sales for ActiveVideo Networks, and has held exec sales posts at BigBand Networks (now part of Arris), AMP, Harmonic, Raychem, RiverDelta Networks (sold to Motorola in 2001), and TollBridge Technologies.

"Ray reinforces our ability continue to outperform the competition and remain ahead of the pace of opportunities for our next generation multi-screen, advertising and video gateway software products. I'm confident that he will make strong contributions to the fulfillment of SeaChange's growth initiatives throughout our target markets in the Americas,” Rau said, in a statement.

"SeaChange enjoys a well-established presence throughout the Americas and a record of innovation and partnership with service provider customers of all sizes," added Fitzgerald.

Earlier this month, SeaChange posted fourth quarter revenues of $35.6 million, down 6% versus the previous quarter due in part to delays and expected orders from customers primarily in the Americas.
