Jinni Opens NYC Digs

Jinni, a maker of semantic, taste-based video discovery technologies that’s headquartered in Tel Aviv, said it has opened an office in New York to accommodate business growth it’s seeing in the North American marketplace.

The new office will be headed by Uri Neeman, vice president of global sales and business development, and will also house a team of support engineers, account managers and a sales team dedicated to activities in the U.S. market.

Jinni said its personalized content discovery service is now serving over 50 million subscribers across four contents and with pay-TV and OTT providers that include AT&T U-verse, Comcast (for its X1 platform), Microsoft Xbox platform, VUDU, Telus, Belgacom, Prisa, SingTel, TV4 and DSTv.

“With Jinni’s proven success in serving the US market, it is now the time to seize the imminent opportunity for continued growth and to commit the necessary resources to expand our presence in the region,” Jinni co-founder and CEO Yosi Glick said, in a statement.
