Coudersport, Pa.-Adelphia Communications Corp. hired four new corporate vice presidents as part of an ongoing management restructuring.
Joining Adelphia's team are Daniel Bemis, vice president of call-center operations; D. Gail Cagle, vice president of training and development; Mike Brady, vice president of financial operations and budgeting; and Herbert Shirey, vice president of data operations.
Bemis previously served as national director for MediaOne Group Inc.'s (now part of AT & T Broadband) Continental Satellite Co. Cagle had been with Budget Group Inc., where she had extensive experience in management and development training. Brady was with Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he led consulting engagements for several Fortune 500 clients. Shirey, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force, has extensive experience in telecommunications, computers, video teleconferencing, information technology and government procurement.
"This expanded management team positions Adelphia to face new challenges that confront us as a result of our rapid growth and expanded product lines," executive vice president of operations Michael Rigas said in a prepared statement.
