Comcast Hands Off Porn Probe to Feds

2/14/2009 2:00 AM Eastern

Arizona G-men are now on the trail of the Super Bowl Porn pranksters.

Comcast's Tucson system has turned the investigation into who was responsible for inserting 30 seconds of hard-core porn into its Super Bowl XLIII broadcast feed over to the FBI.

“We have shared all of our information on this situation with the FBI and will continue to provide our full cooperation to them throughout their investigation,” Comcast Tucson corporate affairs manager Kelle Maslyn said in a statement.

The cable operator already had confirmed that the porn gaffe wasn't the result of equipment malfunction, and last week reiterated its conclusion that the incident was “an intentional malicious act” (see “Through The Wire,” Feb. 9, page 4).
