Turner Gears Up Ad Sales Around Sex, Cartoon5/03/2004 3:32 AM Eastern
Local-advertising efforts by Turner Network Sales, the network-distribution arm of Turner Broadcasting System Inc., will spring into the second and third quarters powered by a Sex and the City on TBS Superstation promotion and a “Fridays Camerama Sweepstakes” for Cartoon Network.
For the TBS premiere of Sex Tuesday, June 15, in primetime, TNS is offering participating systems a 20-second/10-second tune-in spot; up to 12 full-color point-of-purchase displays and entry-form artwork.
Local prize packages will include a $750 gift certificate, a one-year subscription to In Style magazine and an In Style coffee-table book. The sign-up deadline for affiliates is May 17.
To enhance Cartoon’s “Fridays” block, TNS is generating a sweepstakes for which promotional materials will include a 20-second/10-second and a 30-second taggable tune-in spot; a 20-second/10-second sweepstakes spot; up to 12 sweepstakes entry boxes; and entry-form artwork.
The local prize is a Panasonic DVD camcorder and extra DVDs to record the action. The deadline for affiliate sign-ups is July 5.
