The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association said Monday that it will add the “Human Capital Metrics Survey” to its collection of information resources for human-resources professionals.
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Saratoga unit will conduct the new survey and compile the report, the CTHRA said.
The trade group added that Saratoga will conduct an online survey to gather industry-specific data on 25 metrics including human capital return on investment, manager ratio, diversity representation, HR headcount ratio, HR expenditures per employee, training-cost expenses, voluntary separation, income per employee, time to fill positions and compensation as a percentage of revenue.
“With an increasingly fierce battle for talent in the converging cable and telecommunications industries, measuring and managing the performance of a company’s human capital is critical,” CTHRA board member, chair of the CTHRA metrics survey committee and The Weather Channel Cos. senior vice president of HR Lisa Chang said in a prepared statement.
“Organizations that really understand how well they manage and leverage their human capital have a competitive advantage,” she added. “By participating in this survey, companies will gain access to much needed relevant benchmark information they can use to measure their organization’s effectiveness and modify their human-capital business plans.”
