Chappelle, South Park Stay Hot for Comedy

Comedy Central remains red-hot with the Nielsens.

On the heels of the network's most-watched week (March 15-21) in primetime among persons 2+ and adults 18-49, Comedy Central's one-two punch of Chappelle's Show and South Park finished atop the cable heap Wednesday night.

The 10th episode of the second season of Chappelle's Show scored the highest ratings and largest total audience in the sketch show's history, posting a 3.1 household rating and a 2.4 among adults 18-49 March 24, according to Nielsen Media Research data. Chappelle's Show was basic cable's top show among total viewers that night, attracting some 3.6 million watchers.

The second installment of South Park's eighth season built on last week's season premiere notching a 3.0 household mark and a 2.2 among the aforementioned demo. It was the second-ranked cable show that night, garnering almost 3.6 million viewers.
