Cable Technologies Hires President, Appoints CEO

Cable Technologies International has hired Christopher Shirling (pictured above) as president, and bumped up founder and former president Paul Morse Jr. to CEO.

Shirling joins Cable Technologies following six years with Adams Global Communications.

“Chris brings 25 years of experience, including operations, financial and M&A, all of which are essential for Cable Technologies to grow,” Morse said in a statement. “ Chris is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cable Technologies, while I will be focusing more on sales, marketing, and growing the company through new products and acquisitions.”

Separately, Cable Technologies, a supplier of refurbished set-tops, power packs, HD cord and cables, remote controls and repair services, has inked a new deal with the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC),  the Lenexa, Kan.s-based cable equipment and programming buying consortium for independent cable operators.

NCTC noted that the new deal comes into play as it enters an “expansion mode.”
