BCI Hires Former Mediacom and Insight ExecsMid-Sized Market MSO Taps Vin Zachariah as SVP, Residential Services, and Diane Quennoz as SVP of Marketing 5/03/2013 9:39 AM Eastern
BCI Broadband, a mid-sized market MSO that’s been on a buying spree of late, has expanded its executive team with the hiring of Vin Zachariah to senior vice president of residential services, and Diane Quennoz to senior vice president of marketing.
They’ll both report to BCI president and CEO Jeffrey DeMond when their posts become effective Monday, May 6.
Zachariah last served as SVP of field operations and fulfillment at Mediacom Communications. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Time Warner Cable, most recently as regional vice president. Quennoz joins BCI after serving as vice president of marketing and customer experience at Insight Communications, which was acquired by Time Warner Cable in March 2012 for $3 billion. Before that, Quennoz held senior marketing slots at telecom, technology and consumer electronics companies, most recently at Frontier Communications.
"The whole BCI team is delighted to welcome Vin and Diane to our family of seasoned executives," DeMond said, in a statement. They each bring tremendous depth and breadth of experience to our new venture and their energy, professionalism and sense of urgency will contribute immediately to our plan to build a modern, next-generation broadband company."
They join BCI as the company, which is headed by two former Bresnan Communications executives, expands by acquisition. Last month, BCI, which is targeting non-urban markets, closed a deal to acquire systems serving 40,000 customers in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri from Allegiance Broadband, while also announcing a separate deal to acquire James Cable.
Purchase, N.Y.-based BCI was founded last year and is led by two former Bresnan Communications executives – DeMond, Bresnan’s former CEO, and ex-CFO Andrew Kober. BCI is backed by BBH Capital Partners, a private equity fund sponsored by Brown Brothers Harriman & Co.
