Comcast Business Names Fassnacht VP of Washington Region

Comcast has named Mathew Fassnacht to the post of vice president of Comcast Business for the MSO’s Washington region, where he will head up the MSO’s portfolio of commercial services, including a Metro Ethernet offering targeted to mid-sized operations.

Fassnacht, who most recently oversaw product development, marketing, sales and technical engineering for Cox Business in Las Vegas, has also held executive posts at Sprint, XO, Clearwire and CenturyLink.

"Matt is perfectly suited to the Pacific Northwest and this position as he knows the area well and has many years of experience with a wide variety of telecommunications providers. His insight into and enthusiasm for the industry will allow him to provide effective leadership for our employees as our company continues to grow as well as continued satisfaction for our customers who have come to expect quality, reliable services that enable them to run their businesses more efficiently,” said Comcast regional VP Len Rozek, in a statement.

Comcast’s business unit raked in $741 million in revenues during the first quarter of 2013, putting it on pace for almost $3 billion for the year.
