‘Walking Dead’ To Kick Off AMC’s Fearfest Stunt

The Oct. 13 season four debut of zombie-themed series The Walking Dead will kick off AMC’s annual Fearfest programming stunt, the network announced Wednesday.

This year’s 19-day FearFest horror-themed film festival will feature classic genre film franchises such as Halloween, The Omen, Alien, Friday The 13th and Tremors, as well as premieres of such films as Nightmare on Elm Street and The Amityville Horror, said network officials. FearFest will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Exorcist and the 30th anniversary of Cujo.

Online, AMC will offer daily interactive movie trivia games focusing primarily on horror movies, said the network.
