Starz Fortifies Finance Group with Senior Promotions

Starz has promoted a trio of veterans within its finance group, elevating Bill Bergmann to senior vice president of finance and planning, Janet Dickinson to senior vice president of finance and accounting, controller, and Joe Zamora to vice president of finance.

“Bill, Janet and Joe have been integral Finance team members during this period of growth and expansion across the family of Starz businesses,” Starz CFO Scott Macdonald said in a statement. “Furthermore, their leadership and talents have been integral to successfully handling all of the reporting and other duties required of an independent, public entertainment company.”

Bergman, a 15-year Starz veteran, most recently served as vice president of finance and planning and is responsible for budgeting, planning and internal reporting activities across the family of Starz companies. Bergmann has advanced through various financial management positions during his tenure at Starz.

Dickinson joined Starz six years ago and had been working as vice president of accounting and finance. She manages the company's accounting functions and the preparation and filing of all quarterly and annual financial statements. Prior to joining the company, she held senior accounting and finance management roles with Adelphia Communications and AT&T Broadband. 

Zamora was promoted most recently from executive director of finance and planning. He has oversight for budgeting, planning and internal reporting activities as well as financial deal support for Starz Networks’ distribution and studio agreements. A 15-year Starz veteran, Zamora’s prior experience was with GE Capital where he successfully completed GE’s financial management program.
