Spike TV Options Script For 'Tut' Limited Series

Spike TV has optioned a limited event series script based on the life of King Tut, the network announced Thursday.

The six-part project from Muse Entertainment (The Kennedys, Pillars of the Earth, Last Templar) will take a “illuminating, new look” based on recently discovered historical evidence about Tutankhamun, the youngest Pharaoh to rule Ancient Egypt, said network officials.

Muse’s Joel S. Rice and Michael Prupas, along with Greg Gugliotta (The Fosters) will serve as executive producers of Tut, with Michael Vickerman (Impact) as writer/executive producer, and Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (The Fosters) as writers, said Spike.
