Fox News Radio June 1 began producing five minutes at the top of the hour and one minute at the bottom. The coverage also includes “Fox News Alerts” up to six times per hour, if needed, as well as live anchored coverage of breaking-news events and unanchored feeds of news events as warranted.
Network officials also said the organization added 60 affiliates that day, growing its base to base more than 300 nationwide. Officials said the network expects to add another 200 station by summer’s end.
Moreover, Fox News Radio’s deal to become the news supplier for all Clear Channel Communications Inc. news and talk stations goes into effect in June.
Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes that day unveiled the network’s new state-of-the-art Fox News Radio studio, which was used for the first five-minute newscast, in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
