Evidently, a lot of people think they have the write stuff to pen a sitcom.
Bravo announced that as of Monday, more than 39,000 applications for Situation: Comedy, a reality-competition series, have been downloaded from its Web site (www.bravotv.com).
For the show, the writers of the best five scripts will be flown to Los Angeles for in-person pitch meetings with industry experts, with the best pair developed into 15-minute presentations for telecast on Bravo.
From there, viewers will then vote for their favorite, with the top vote-getter pocketing a cash prize of $25,000, and exclusive representation for one year from their choice of either The William Morris Agency or Creative Artists Agency to help launch a successful writing career in film and television.
