Nick’s ‘Wallykazam!’ Draws Nearly 2 Million Viewers In DebutCurriculum-Based, Pre-School Series Posts Double Digit Viewer Increases In Time Period 2/05/2014 2:58 PM Eastern
Nickelodeon’s new animated pre-school series Wallykazam! drew nearly 2 million viewers in its Feb. 3 debut.
The series, Nickelodeon’s first preschool series that embeds a literacy curriculum into a full-length story, averaged 1.9 million viewers in its 1 p.m. premiere, increasing its total viewer audience by 46% and its audience of Kids 2 to 5 by 57% compared to the same period last year, according to network officials.
Wallykazam!, which follows the adventures of a troll and his pet dragon who live in a forest with giants, goblins, ogres, sprites and other mythical creatures, also earned Nick its highest-rated premiere with K2-5 in almost 10 years, said the network.
