MyxTV Sets First Original Series

Myx Tv will chronicle the lives of several Asian-American adults in its first original documentary series set to debut April 23.

The series,  I'm Asian American and…, will profile unique and sometimes controversial individuals who don’t necessarily fit the “model minority” stereotype of Asian-Americans, said network officials. The 10-episodse series is executively produced by Valerie Chow and Stepen Goetsch (I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant and The Chef Project).

“We see ‘I’m Asian American and…’ as a perfect choice for our first original docu-series,” said Miguel Santos, General Manager of Asain-American targeted Myx TV in a statement “It’s entertaining, provocative, and it challenges every stereotype about Asian Americans while portraying the lives of a diverse group of individuals who are interesting in ways that go way beyond ethnicity.”
