Mischer to Produce Miss America

CMT signed Don Mischer Productions to produce the 2007 Miss American Pageant.

The live, two-hour pageant will be telecast from the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Don Mischer, an Emmy Award-winning producer, has worked on the opening ceremonies for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games, the Rolling Stones’ Super Bowl XL halftime show and the Kennedy Center Honors.

He has also worked on the Emmys, the ceremonies of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta and specials with Barbara Streisand, Willie Nelson, Bob Hope, Cher, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

In producing the Miss America Pageant, Mischer will be joined by co-executive producer Charlie Haykel and producer Juliane Hare.
