MetroCast Now Offers HBO Go, Max Go

MetroCast Communications has launched HBO’s authenticated online video destinations, HBO Go and MAX Go, the Harron Communications-owned cable operator said.

MetroCast customers who subscribe to HBO and/or Cinemax will now have free, unlimited access to the corresponding new online services at any time, on any computer in the U.S. with a high‐speed Internet connection, as well as iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Kindle Fire, select Android devices, and platforms such as Xbox 360, Samsung Smart TVs and Roku.

“Our customers’ viewing habits and expectations for accessing video content are evolving with new and emerging technologies,” Josh Barstow, MetroCast’s vice president of advanced services, said in a release. “HBO GO and MAX GO are major, value‐added enhancements that will provide MetroCast’s HBO and Cinemax customers with easy access to a tremendous breadth of content that can be viewed at their convenience on a range of in‐home video and mobile devices.”

To access online, MetroCast HBO and Cinemax subscribers can go to HBOGO.com and MAXGO.com, or log onto http://metrocast.net/. Subscribers can then sign in with their MetroCast user ID and password, make their viewing selection and begin watching.

MetroCast serves more than 200,000 residential and business-class customers in more than 200 communities in the states of New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Mississippi and Alabama.
