Lifetime Looks to Clean House

3/17/2004 2:37 AM Eastern

How Clean Is Your House? Lifetime Television will answer that question this fall.

The network said Wednesday that FremantleMedia North America, the producers of American Idol, will bring it a new reality series based on a popular British show of the same name.

In Lifetime’s version of the series, homeowners surrender their households to British cleaning mavens Kim Woodburn and Aggie Mackenzie, who will "attempt to transform the grimiest homes in the country into spotless abodes," the network said.

"We’re thrilled to be bringing our viewers a comedic makeover show that will not only make them laugh as we uncover the hidden dirty secrets we all have, but will provide them with helpful hints on how to keep a clean house," Lifetime senior vice president of reality programming Bill Brand said in a prepared statement.
