Video analytics firm IneoQuest Technologies has booted up a video quality monitoring system for HEVC-encoded video streams, targeting a market that’s coming into view as providers look to take advantage of the bandwidth-saving codec for mobile and 4K video.
IneoQuest said its HEVC testing platform monitors both quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE), enabling service providers to deliver top quality to their subscribers and optimize operational efficiency.
IneoQuest, which will show off its new handiwork at NAB in Las Vegas, said it has collaborated with Harmonic on the new monitoring effort.
