Beverly Hills, Calif. -- Home Box Office will renew Hollywood-based comedy Entourage for a third season, according to chairman and CEO Chris Albrecht.

The series, about the exploits of a star actor and his crew, will receive at least 13 more episodes, Albrecht said at the network's Television Critics Association Tour presentation here Saturday.

He also said the network will develop a miniseries based on John Adams. Actor Tom Hanks will produce the 10-hour miniseries, as well as another as-yet-untitled, multiepisode extravaganza with Steven Spielberg.

"Those two projects alone will cost probably $300 million, so I don't think anybody is playing on the same planet as we are when it comes to that level," Albrecht said.

Additionally, HBO Films is currently filming in Vilnius, Lithuania, Elizabeth I, a two-part miniseries starring Helen Mirren as the queen during the latter half of her reign.

The project, produced by Company Pictures, is an HBO Films presentation in association with the United Kingdom's Channel 4. It also stars Jeremy Irons.
