FSN Brings Red Carpet to All-Star Game

FSN is warming up for Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

The network will air MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet Special Presented by Chevrolet Tuesday, July 12 at 7 p.m. (EST), immediately preceding Fox’s coverage of the 76th MLB All-Star Game at 8 p.m.

FSN Best Damn Sports Show Period host Chris Rose will host the Red Carpet Special, joined by FSN correspondents Josh Lewin, the play-by-play voice of the Texas Rangers, and Carolyn Hughes, who hosts FSN Across America and serves as anchor and Los Angeles Dodgers reporter for FSN West’s Southern California Sports Report.

A procession of Chevrolets will roll down the block-long red carpet, laid out on Detroit’s Witherell Street between West Elizabeth and West Malcolm, right along ComericaPark’s first-base side, with each vehicle carrying players and the managers from each league. As the cars arrive, Lewin and Hughes will conduct their interviews from two separate locations along the route.

“This is a unique opportunity for FSN to become part of the event,” FSN executive vice president of programming and production George Greenberg said in a prepared statement. “It allows the fans to get an all-access pass to the superstars before they get their game faces on. We look at the parade as an Oscar arrival show and a great forum to salute our core audience.”
