Fox News Channel notched its second-highest rated primetime week of 2013 during the Nov. 4-10 span.
During the period, FNC averaged over 2.09 million viewers, according to Nielsen data, trailing only its performance during the Boston Marathon bombing week of April 15-21.
From Nov. 4-10, FNC finished only behind ESPN’s 3.56 million, according to Nielsen data.
The cable news leader’s total included 376,000 adults 25 to 54.
News segment competitors MSNBC and CNN were significantly behind. The former averaged 716,000 total viewers and 202,000 adults 25 to 54, while the latter scored with 433,000 and 146,000, respectively.
Gauged on a total-day basis, FNC averaged 1.22 million watchers to rank fifth in basic-cable behind Nickelodeon’s 1.76 million, ESPN’s 1.44 million, Disney Channel’s 1.43 million and Adult Swim’s 1.28 million.
