FitTV Is ‘Fit for Kids’

9/28/2004 8:01 AM Eastern

FitTV and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services are teaming up to battle childhood obesity.

The Discovery Networks U.S. service and the HHS’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality have produced “Max’s Magical Delivery: Fit for Kids,” an interactive DVD “designed to provide children 5-9 and their parents with fun ways to incorporate physical activity and healthy foods into their daily lives,” the two parties said in a prepared statement.

“FitTV is excited to partner with HHS on this important public-health initiative to address the serious concerns about the childhood-obesity epidemic in this country,” Discovery Networks U.S. president Billy Campbell said in a prepared statement.

Copies of Max’s Magical Delivery: Fit for Kids are available through the AHRQ Publications Clearinghouse by calling 800-358-9295.
