Bravo’s Pop Culture Guru

Andrew Cohen, 38

Bravo

Andy Cohen has his finger on the pop culture pulse.

As senior vice president of programming for Bravo, he oversees the network’s current production slate, including hit shows such as Top Chef, Project Runway, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Shear Genius, The Real Housewives of Orange County and Work Out. He also champions an aggressive slate of unscripted and scripted series and specials, and was responsible for supervising production of Blow Out, Being Bobby Brown and Celebrity Poker Showdown.

But Cohen also steps out from behind the scenes. He is the host of Watch What Happens, BravoTV.com’s first live online show, and has frequently appeared as a pop culture pundit on CNN and The View. Cohen comes full circle with his daily weblog, “Andy’s Blog,” in which he comments on pop culture, television, media and his own life.

“I am in the center of a bountiful 360-degree TV experience, involved in shows from start to finish for a channel that I love, and it’s a blast,” said Cohen. “Writing the blog and getting to host shows is chocolate syrup on an overloaded sundae.”

Cohen, who received a degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University, has also worked as a producer at CBS News and pop culture network Trio.
