Blitzer Lands Obama Interview

10/29/2008 5:01 AM Eastern

CNN’s Wolf Blitzer will sit down with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama Friday, just five days before the presidential election, officials said Wednesday.

The interview will air throughout the three hours of The Situation Room later that day. Blitzer will travel for the face-to-face interview with Obama and plans to anchor The Situation Room from the road.

Blitzer will focus in on the most important domestic and national security issues facing voters, especially issue No. 1: the ailing U.S. economy. Blitzer discussed similar issues with Sen. John McCain during a one-on-one interview last week. Viewers can submit questions for Obama online at www.iReport.com/Obama

With the election less than a week away, the candidates are making the network rounds.
