BET Set for Fall

BET announced premiere dates for its new fall series Tuesday.

Beef: The Series, a six-part series, “explores the conflicts of America's hottest celebrities,” the network said. It debuts Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m. (EST/PST).

One hour later, BET will debut Next Level: Vince Young, which will follow former University of Texas quarterback and Rose Bowl MVP Vince Young as he tries to carve out his spot on the National Football League’s Tennessee Titans.

Comedian and actor Katt Williams will host the first-ever BET Hip Hop Awards Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m.

American Gangster, which “chronicles the lives and times of some of Black America's most notorious crime figures,” debuts Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.

And sister network BET J will debut Committed: The Christies -- a reality show based on the life of National Basketball Association star Doug Christie and his wife, Jackie -- Thursday, Oct. 5 at 10 p.m.
