Air Force Events to Air on Altitude

6/23/2004 3:48 AM Eastern

Upstart Denver-based regional sports network Altitude Sports & Entertainment announced Tuesday that it will telecast select U.S. Air Force Academy sports events as part of a multiyear deal with the United States Air Force Academy Athletic Association.

Under the agreement, Altitude will televise a total of up to six men’s basketball and football games per year, as well as other intercollegiate athletic events. The network will also televise the Academy’s Wing Open Boxing Championships, one of the premier amateur-boxing competitions in the nation.

Additionally, the agreement gives Altitude and the Academy an option to televise Air Force’s weekly football and winter-sports coach’s shows.

Altitude will launch in October with Denver Nuggets National Basketball Association games and Colorado Avalanche National Hockey League contests.
