A&E To Launch New Season Of 'Storage Wars: New York' Via Amazon, iTunes

A&E will turn to over-the-top distributors to debut the sophomore season of its reality series Storage Wars: New York.

The network Monday (July 1) launched the series' season two premiere episode via Amazon, Xbox, iTunes and Vudu, as well as through video on demand with distributors Comcast Cable, Charter Communications, Dish Network, Verizon FiOS and AT&TU-verse, said network officials.

A&E’s TV Everywhere app will also feature the premiere episode of the series -- a spinoff of the network’s popular Storage Wars franchise -- as well as all six episodes of the show’s freshman campaign.

Storage Wars: New York will debut on the linear A&E channel July 9.

In addition, A&E has partnered with iPowow to provide viewers with an interactive television experience. During each new episode of Storage Wars New York, fans will have the opportunity to engage with the show and vote on different components directly from their smartphones, tablets or desktop, said network officials.
