Western Broadband, Orbitel Communications to Launch Pac-12 Arizona RSN

Pac-12 Networks continues to build its affiliate base, adding Western Broadband and Orbitel Communication to its distribution roster
Both providers will carry the Pac-12 Arizona regional network, when it kicks off on August 15, as part of the launch of seven conference sports services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Pac-12 Networks will televise three Arizona and Arizona State games during the first three weeks of the 2012 football season, including the home debut of new ASU head coach Todd Graham in week one, and a Saturday primetime game when Arizona and new head coach Rich Rodriguez host Oklahoma State in week two.
"The Pac-12 should be very exciting this season and we are pleased to provide our customers content that features our local Pac-12 collegiate sports," said Keith Kirkman, president/general manager of Western Broadband and Orbitel Communications. "Adding the Pac-12 Arizona network to our channel lineup seemed to be a natural extension of what we can do to add more entertainment and value for our customers."
The deals fall under the master agreement that Pac-12 Enterprises reached with the National Cable Television Cooperative last month. Earlier this week, BendBroadband and Frontier Communications agreed to carry Pac-12 services.
Seven Pac-12 networks, a national feed, plus regionals mapping the conference footprint in Northern California (Stanford and Cal); Southern California (USC and UCLA); Oregon (Oregon State and Oregon); Washington (Washington State and Washington); Arizona (Arizona State and Arizona); and Mountain (Utah and Colorado) areas; are scheduled to debut on Aug. 15. They will be accompanied by a flanking online portal and TV Everywhere platform.
