HDNet to Visit Smallville

HDNet has acquired the cable HDTV rights to air The WB’s hit series Smallville starting this fall, officials said Monday.

HDNet struck a deal with Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution for the exclusive cable HDTV run of the series’ first three seasons.
ABC Family has off-network, standard-definition rights to air Smallville, Superman’s teen-age years, beginning this autumn.
“Smallville is an outstanding show with a great concept and exceptional cast,” HDNet president and co-founder Mark Cuban said in a statement. “HDNet is proud to be the only place where viewers can see all of the series’ episodes in its original HD format.”
