Lonesome Dove, the mini-series based on Larry McMurtry’s Pulitzer Prize winning western novel, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its network television debut by transitioning to Hulu’s digital platform. The series was originally broadcast by CBS on February 5, 1989.
The original mini-series as well as its three sequels Return to Lonesome Dove, Larry McMurtry’s Streets of Laredo and Larry McMurty’s Dead Man’s Walk, will be available on both Hulu and Hulu Plus. The addition amounts to more than 20 hours of programming for the online subscription service.
